View System Emails

When an email is sent from your application, it automatically logs it within the System Email sub-folder and tags it to the applicable matter. This communication history includes items such as reminder notices, user invitations, and invoices you send via email.

This article outlines how to view these “System Emails” that have already been sent. For instructions on how to edit the email templates, see Edit Email Templates. For information on setting up email syncs and integrations, see Set Up Email Integration and Permissions.

From Matter Details

To view system emails:

  1. From the left navigation panel, click Matters.
  2. On the Matters screen, either double-click the matter, or single-click it, and click on the three dots at the end the row and from the drop-down, click View.
  3. From the tabs atop the Matters Summary section, click Communications.
  4. From the tabs atop the Communications screen, click Emails.
  5. On the Emails screen, under the Emails section, click System Emails.
  6. Take the desired action:
    • Read an Email
      1. Double-click the email.
        The email opens in a new window.
    • Mark Emails as Read or Unread
      1. Check the boxes to the left of the emails.
      2. From the toolbar, click More > Mark as Read or Mark as Unread.
        The system marks them as directed.
    • Delete Emails
      1. Check the boxes beside the emails you want to delete.
      2. From the toolbar, click Delete.
        The system deletes the emails.
    • Refresh your Inbox
      • From the toolbar, click the double arrows.
        The system refreshes your inbox.

From Practice Management

To view system emails:

  1. From the left navigation panel, click Practice Management.
  2. From the Practice Management menu, click Communication.
  3. From the Communication screen, click Emails.
  4. On the Emails screen, under the Emails section, click System Emails.
    The listing displays the system emails.
  5. Take the desired action:
    • Read an Email
      1. Double-click the email.
        The email opens in a new window.
    • Mark as Read or Unread
      1. Check the boxes to the left of the emails.
      2. From the toolbar, click More > Mark as Read or Mark as Unread.
        The system marks them as directed.
    • Delete Emails
      1. Check the boxes beside the emails you want to delete.
      2. From the toolbar, click Delete.
        The system deletes the emails.
    • Refresh your Inbox
      • From the toolbar, click the double arrows.
        The system refreshes your inbox.
