Add Invoices in bulk, edit documents in bulk, new matter activity report, banking improvements.

Enhancements

Bulk Invoicing

To make your billing process more efficient and user-friendly, we have made significant improvements to bulk invoice creation. The enhanced interface delivers a more intuitive billing experience:

  • Faster Matter Navigation – Access details of a matter with fewer clicks
  • Quick Add Functionality – Add new timecards and expense entries directly from the matter details view
  • Selective Billing Control – Easily choose which specific time entries and expenses to include in client invoices
  •  Advanced Filtering – Filter matters by multiple matter owners simultaneously
  • Billing Summary Header – Keep track of your totals with a persistent header that displays the amount to be billed, as you select matters

Bulk Edit Documents

The new Bulk Edit option for the document screen enhances efficiency in document management by enabling users to:

  • Select one or more documents to delete, share via the client portal, or unshare from the client portal in a single action
  • Access the bulk edit option across all areas where documents can be managed, including Matter > Documents, the Documents section, documents linked to Timecards, Expense Cards, Invoices, AP Bills, and 3rd Party Bills

As a safeguard, bulk actions are limited to individual documents; selecting folders for bulk delete or download is not supported at this time.

Matter Activity Report

The Matter Activity Report is a comprehensive tool designed to provide a detailed and granular view of matter-level financial data. This report offers a range of benefits, including:

  • Consolidated reporting of all matter-related activities in one place
  • A customized report layout with additional columns and data types for enhanced clarity
  • A Consolidated report of all matter-related activities, including:
    • Number of matters opened
    • Date opened
    • Amounts billed for/collected/write-off:
      • Fees
      • Disbursements
      • Costs
      • Overhead
      • Late Fees
      • Finance Charges
      • Taxes

Memo on Form 9A  

The Form 9A for Ontario firms will now automatically include the memo entered as Reason for Payment while making a trust transaction using electronic payment method such as bank transfer/wire transfer.
If no memo is provided, the default text On Account of Fees and Disbursements will be used.

Banking Improvements

To give you a more seamless  experience, we have made several improvements to the banking area. You can now:

  • Enter up to 15 numeric digits in the Bank Account Number field for all bank types (Operating, Trust, Credit Card)
  • Select transactions during bank reconciliation, which will persist across tab switches (Deposits, Payments, etc.), preventing accidental deselection and improving workflow consistency
  • Enjoy improved functionality on the Bank Details screen for managing multiple banks, that includes:
      • Bank Information Display – Added comprehensive bank information within the Bank Details screen
      • Seamless Bank Switching – Users can switch between active banks directly from the Bank Details screen, remaining on the same tab when selecting a different bank
      • Conditional Tab Navigation – If the selected bank is not enabled for bank feeds or not linked to a merchant, and the user attempts to switch from the Bank Feed or Website Payments tab, they will be redirected to the Transactions tab
