Chat with the Firm in the Client Portal

If the firm’s setup includes the client portal and they have enabled chat, it provides another secure channel through which to communicate with them.

Chat with the Firm in the Client Portal

To chat within the client portal:

  1. Log into the client portal.
  2. In the left navigation panel, click Messages.
    Note: If the firm has sent a chat message, a red number displays in the upper right corner of the screen indicating the number of unread messages. You can click the icon to open the messages.

  3. To initiate or reply to a chat, enter your chat in the chat box at the bottom of the screen.
  4. In the lower right corner, click Send.
    The system displays your chat and notifies the firm recipient.
