Display Only the Description In The Invoice Details Field

Although you can add a Task and Description to billable items, you can choose to display only the Description in an invoice’s Details.

Displaying only the description minimizes the onscreen text while still communicating what you are billing.  If you are printing invoices, this option will also reduce printing costs.

To display only the description on an invoice:

  1. From the left navigation panel, click Setup.
  2. From the Setup gray left navigation, click Firm Settings.
  3. From the tabs atop the Firm Settings screen, click Invoice Settings.
  4. Under the Invoice Print Settings section, locate the Task/Description field.
  5. From the drop-down, click Print description only.
  6. Click Save.
    Invoices will display only the description under Details.
